In Polish, Andrzej Polkowski's translation of the first Harry Potter sits at the beginner level of our library. Its sentences are very short and nearly half the text is dialogue, so Rowling's plain, direct children's prose reads quickly, even though Polish inflection still makes the vocabulary to cover large. What remains to learn is mostly the wizarding world itself (wands, broomsticks, owls, cloaks) and the verbs of saying that frame the dialogue, such as shouting, muttering and calling out.
MnemoRead measured this book from its full text: how many of the language's most common words you need to follow it, and how long its sentences are.
