This is an intermediate read in French. Sentences are of moderate length and only a fifth of the text is dialogue, so the prose is mostly narration, but the vocabulary is wide for a nineteenth-century adventure about a race around the world. Many of the words to learn come from steamships, railways and the foreign places Verne describes, and they recur often enough to be worth looking up.
MnemoRead measured this book from its full text: how many of the language's most common words you need to follow it, and how long its sentences are.
